2009 La Salle Day Thansgiving Mass - May 17, 2009 (Sunday) at St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church in Los Angeles
After three months of planning, discussions at two Board meetings, a month of choir practice, several times of email broadcasts, weeks of calling Old Boys to spread the words and a rehearsal, LSCOBA Southern California Chapter inaugurated its first La Salle Day Thanksgiving Mass (LSDTM) in the afternoon of Sunday, May 17, 2009. The objective was threefold: to celebrate the Feast Day of St. John Baptist de La Salle (founder of the Christian Brothers), to pay tribute to our Brothers and teachers, and to foster friendship among Old Boys and their families. 80 people attended our LSDTM, including Brothers from Cathedral High School and over 40 old boys.

5th Annual Asian American Sports Club Soccer Tournament - April 29 to May 17, 2009 (Sundays) at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower
We were once again invited to participate in the 5th Annual Asian American Sports Club Soccer Tournament. All games were played at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower on April 19th through May 17th 2009, on five consecutive Sundays. We have 23 players, including 17 old boys and 6 friends, showed up to play in either one game or all five games. Our average attendance was 15 players per game. Leading by our team Captains Johnson Chao ('95) and Stephen Lau ('01), we achieved our goals of reuniting the olds, welcoming the news, playing hard together, working-out as a team, and most importantly, having fun.
